Mermaids are very on trend this year with the release of the new Disney The Little Mermaid movie, so it's a mer-tastic time to host a Mermaid Under The Sea Themed Party!
Here are our tips to make your party as Mer-mazing as possible!
Entertainment
This is important as what you choose may dictate the venue! You also have to book this quite far in advance so get thinking!
Some fabulous options are:
- Mermaid themed Bouncy Castle (good value - £70-£150)
- Mermaid Children's Entertainer (maybe not such a hit with the boys)
- Mermaid themed face painter (not usually allowed with a bouncy castle)
- Mermaid themed glitter tattoos (everyone loves these!)
- DIY Entertainment - Mermaid Craft Table, Pin the Tail on the Mermaid, Treasure Hunt or Mermaid Photo Booth (great unique options!)
Venue
Another important thing to think about! Main options are:
- Your house! (Free and a great option if you enjoy tidying up!😜 But this option does mean you have much more time to decorate)
- Hire a hall (can range in price from £40-£180, but great for bouncy castles and you don't have to worry about one of the kids spilling something on your lovely sofa! But you don't have much time to decorate)
- Soft Play (definitely a fun option for all of the kids! Can be pricey and means decorating options are limited)
- Garden (sounds amazing on a sunny day - a complete disaster on a rainy one. This is definitely a risky option!)
Invitations
Okay, we know we're biased, but we love our Mermaid themed smartphone invitations! Check them out here!
Decorations
This is our favourite bit! You can transform a room with relatively inexpensive decorations these days and make it truly magical for the Birthday Girl or Boy!
